MGLM Architects designed the exterior elevations for this house located on a ridge overlooking the Potomac River, inspired by the simple refinement of English country estates. The sloping site presents the particular challenge of designing a formal house with equally successful front and rear elevations, while incorporating a walkout terrace to take best advantage of the river views.
